Sikkim - Land of Peace and Tranquility, Part 1.

Travel has been an immense part of my life, and whenever I get a chance and some off time post work, I am out to explore the kingdom of beauty.

Long walk upside hills, Road trips and Flights have proved to become my companion. And I absolutely love it.

Here are few pictures below, from my visit to different parts of hometown - "Sikkim".

If only I could live that lace shoes, pleated skirt and ribbon hair life.

As these prayer flag symbolises peace, all I can wish is for some real peace across.
These flags give us an immense touch and feel of different colours of  life and to cherish it.

You need that state of mind, once a while.

And I attained my state in Rabong - SOUTH SIKKIM

Snow Peak Mountains. Only if I was permitted to celebrate Christmas here.

Hoping to have White Christmas this year in - TSOMGO LAKE, GANGTOK

My first Chopper experience admits mountains, luxuriant forest, pristine waterfalls and cascading rivers.

ReKindling!

One whole month and not a single new buy. One of my Resolutions for 2014 is making some progress.
With the thought, I will be home from now for sometime. Winter Chills refuses to go, not like summers are 30 degrees. Throughout the year cardigans are must here, where as other cities do not need them after Februaray. Hence, piling up new clothes is a total waste. Agree? Unless, I am doing some fancy trips (Rolls eyes).

I am Re organising my wardrobe and giving my existing clothes a new dimension, twist and style. What is a Blogger without any ideas and experiments?

Here's the first one. The post is from my recent visit to Kolkata

High waist pants - Bought in 2010 from Zara. Haven't worn them for a long long time. The pants were a little loose when initially bought them. They fit me so well now.
Note - I have gained and I love it!

Tank top - The tank was also bought in 2010 from River Island.
This piece has done full vasuli of its price. I have worn this tank a more than 1000 times.
And the quality remains intact. Love them.

Vest - Bought in 2011 from Gangtok (local shop). The piece that has earned highest no of compliments. You make me look nicer, every-time I wear you.

Shoes - Recent Purchase (2013, December) from The Closet Label. One of my and many other's favourite online shops. The metallic look gives an edge to the outfit and are super comfortable. Because I cannot wear them in Gangtok (weather issues) they have become by travel companion.

Have a great week ahead guys!

Booties and Oversized piece.

There is the time, when I do not see any flowers around or any butterflies. The time of the year, where all the greenery has been faded and we are left with white peaks and dead leaves. The warmth and those sun rays have been replaced by chilly winds and snow thrills. The period when those gorgeous easy breezy dresses have been piled and knee length booties and oversized pieces are out.
Don’t get mistaken; I am not cribbing in here. As much summers have their own beauty and we all like to bask into it, winters is delightful too. Nothing can replace the smell of coffee, burning of woods, lightning of fireplace, cozy blankets, oranges, ear cuffs and fluffy mufflers.

The weather here is perfect for Knee length boots and oversized pieces. I have already started wearing them, but at the same time I am afraid how colder the coming months are going to be like.  Anyways, Knee length boots in different materials are everywhere this season. From runways to street style, everyone is been craving for one of them. And, why not? They make a statement in it’s self.  I have found my pair of lace up booties from Next, which makes me a rocker chic in that oversized sweat from the famous "A-J store". The best part about oversized pieces are, they have enough room proportions to let your warmers stuffed inside and keep you away from winter thrills yet, keep stylish.

So here’s my lace up Bootie and the gorgeous top.

Boots – Next
Oversized top – A-J Store
Warmer – locally bought
Leggings – Lew Look
Hairband – Gangtok (Local Boutique)

My hands are getting numb and my hot chocolate is getting cold. I should now leave for the day, before I freeze here.
It’s getting freaking cold. You guys be warm and take care.

In the cave.

It's definitely been quite a long time I have blogged. It's actually been a long journey. If you are following me on twitter you would know, what journey I am talking about here. Well to start with I was home. I was back to hills (Gangtok), I wish I could stay back home forever. I wish. With perfect weather, beautiful people, away from noisy city life, shopping destination and above all it let's you lead a peaceful life. Did I tell you the gorgeous Kanchenjunga can be viewed from my window; well it can be viewed from everyone’s window and balcony there. I have always and will continue to miss Gangtok. The city of Orchids and Red Panda!!
The journey continued to Kolkata, the city that never disappoints me. Apart the usual stuff I happened to meet the gorgeous sayantani from Live Laugh Dressup and lovely Ayantika from Bong's Belleza. It was an absolutely crazy afternoon, details on the same coming soon. Stay tuned.
And finally I am back to Bangalore. It’s getting a little difficult though to settle back. But the good news is, I am now officially part of ITC Hotels. Hope the things will fall in place soon.
Coming to the post, all of us are in love with "sheer" this season. Aren't we? I am no different. You must have already seen a few of posts on the same coming from my end and here’s another one.
Have a look, hope you guys would enjoy the outfit as much as I enjoyed wearing it
