Welcoming 2014!

So what are you doing to welcome 2014? I am sure all you guys must be buzy essembling and creating an outfit for tomorrow. While a few may be planning an excuisite House Party. A few of you are far far away enjoying your vacation and a few, might be home with their tub of Popcorn and enjoying Fire Place with Family.
All of us definitely have some plan for tomorrow. Don't we? And why not? Theses are the Occassions you await throughout the year. I have plans too.
With the preprations happening, Resolutions are also being decided. Right? Well I have 2 Resolutions for 2014. Ftirst being, Find a job that makes me happy, And the second one is a little difficult, but I am going to try this - Go slow and Control on my Shopping emotions. To begin with, I am not picking up any new item for New Year's eve. Rather, I am trying to invent something fun and quirky with my old, beautiful pieces.

Woh! 2013 has also come to an end. The year has given me quite a bit of memories to hold. It has made me a year mature, understanding and stable. "2013" has introduced me to a few people who are just not friends, but I fear to loose them. And most importantly it has taught me to have belief and confidence in myself.
The year was full of up's and down, of Vacations and Thrills, of love and friendship. Let's hope 2014 has a lot more thrills, challenges and Vaccations!!!
Happy Advance New Year Guys! Have an awesome one. And don't forget to welcome 2014 in Style!!!

Kiss Red Lips!

Merry Christmas to all you guys there. Hope Santa is fulfilling everyone's secret wishes. Do everything that is needed to make this Christmas a memorable one. Visit Church, do some fun Caroling, drive away in your Christmas lights car, make a scene from snow, wear Red and Green's, have a Turkey Feast, and click lots of Pictures. Oh! I can't wait to dig in my piece of Turkey and to let the Celebration begin. So excited and thrilled!

Talking about the post, Kiss, Red Lips, Kiss! Kiss! Kiss, were a few comments I got to hear while I walked down the streets of Kolakta wearing this Shirt (shown below). Woh! Seriously. You all know and I know how much I love Kolkata, but there are few things you cannot change. Being creative with your outfit or wearing something a little fancy, is little difficult in this city. But do we care? Hell no! It's time to bring a change in mindset of the people residing in this city.
Anyways, I was too excited to pair this outfit. Leather Pants and my Red Lips Shirt from Drop Dead Gorgeous. The website offers a whole lot of products at reasonable prices.
For me, the Shirt made a statement in it's self so decided to keep it minimal and not complicating with any accessories. The Shirt is definitely cutting edge to the outfit and I love it to the core.

Shirt - Drop Dead Gorgeous
Leather Pants - H&M
Watch - Borrowed (Mom's Wardrobe)
Heels - Thrifted.

It's time go to and put on my Red coat. Celebration Time.
You Guys, have a Wonderful Christmas with your Family and Friends.

Travel and Consequences.

Travelling is an integral part of me. I love travelling as much as I love shopping. Offlate I have been travelling quite a bit, and looks like my list of visiting places before 30 is making some progress.
For me, Travelling is not about visiting beautiful cities, dining in fancy places, shopping but it's way beyod that. Being a part of Different Cultures and learning about them is one of the reason's I travel.
As I mentioned, I have been travelling too much off late and living out my dream. In the mean time, I have also realised that my skin has gone for a toss. Tanning, De - Hydration, black spots are few problems to name. But does that stop me from travelling? Hell no!
To deal with such issues, there are few simple steps I am following and I hope it gives me some results.
I have my Friend's Wedding to attend. Damn.

Daily Skin Care Steps:
1. Drinking Water throughout the day till my bladder hurts.
2. Applying mixture of honey and lemon juice on a daily basis. (Avoiding any kind of soap on face, during morning hours).
3. Applying Kaya's, much recommended anti tan gel followed by Sun's Cream.
4. Using Anti - Tan cream based soap from Lush to wash face before going to bed.
5. Followed by Application of Aloe vera Natural Gel on face.

Apart than the daily routiene, I have started to use home products as a part of facial pack rather than going to Salons. Honestly, tried doing all kinds of fancy and expensive treatments but nothing worked. Looks like Dried Orange Peels and gram flour are much superoir and definitely cheaper choices than those treatments.
I have not started to see any results yet, but hoping for some. Incase you guys have some suggestions, feel free to share.

In the mean time, have a look at the pictures from my recent trip to "Spiti Valley". A destination that cannot be missed. Guys, speak to your Travel Agents, gather your backpacks and explore the beauty of this heavenly place.

These are just a few pictures. And I must tell you, pictures are just not doing justice to this pretty place.

So start planning up your next vacation guys, while I focus on some skin rejuvination tricks.

Be warm and have a great week ahead.

Booties and Oversized piece.

There is the time, when I do not see any flowers around or any butterflies. The time of the year, where all the greenery has been faded and we are left with white peaks and dead leaves. The warmth and those sun rays have been replaced by chilly winds and snow thrills. The period when those gorgeous easy breezy dresses have been piled and knee length booties and oversized pieces are out.
Don’t get mistaken; I am not cribbing in here. As much summers have their own beauty and we all like to bask into it, winters is delightful too. Nothing can replace the smell of coffee, burning of woods, lightning of fireplace, cozy blankets, oranges, ear cuffs and fluffy mufflers.

The weather here is perfect for Knee length boots and oversized pieces. I have already started wearing them, but at the same time I am afraid how colder the coming months are going to be like.  Anyways, Knee length boots in different materials are everywhere this season. From runways to street style, everyone is been craving for one of them. And, why not? They make a statement in it’s self.  I have found my pair of lace up booties from Next, which makes me a rocker chic in that oversized sweat from the famous "A-J store". The best part about oversized pieces are, they have enough room proportions to let your warmers stuffed inside and keep you away from winter thrills yet, keep stylish.

So here’s my lace up Bootie and the gorgeous top.

Boots – Next
Oversized top – A-J Store
Warmer – locally bought
Leggings – Lew Look
Hairband – Gangtok (Local Boutique)

My hands are getting numb and my hot chocolate is getting cold. I should now leave for the day, before I freeze here.
It’s getting freaking cold. You guys be warm and take care.

Love,

Hello Winters!

Hello Winters! What is there not to like about this weather? More and more of Adrak vali chai (ginger tea) , lazy comforters, heaters, overcoats, calf boots and yummylicious food! This winter I have figured out, more than overcoats and chunky knits I have fallen for delicate, soft and super warm pullovers.
The good part about them is , they are light weighted unlike other winter garments and you can layer them with gorgeous scrafs, accessories etc. And most importantly they do not suffocate you.
Being living in that part of the country where wether is quite uncertain, I like the idea of layering. As you see in the pictures below, it's bright and sunny in afternoon but the same part of city faces drastic windy movements and snowfall( occasionally) in the evening.  But i still love my City.
Other than the sweaters, Blazers are undoubtedly my favourite and savior of the season. How about your's?
They are such, good to pair with your denims, maxis, tracks or even delicate dresses and you are good to go. They save you from being over dressed, while they also add that extra spice to your outfit.
I would not be talking much on Blazers today, next post is all about different types, moods and fits of Blazer.

Until then enjoy the outfit Pictures.

Different Moods.

Sweater, Pants, Necklace - Street Shopping
Blazer - Tailor Stitched
Shoes - Gangtok

Hope you liked it!
Be warm and have a happy week ahead!

A little Drama.

Hello Everyone!
Aren't we all obsessed and love Head Gear's this season.
I have been admiring the same for quite a while now. To let my desires rest in peace, I decided to modify this pretty neckpiece into one and get dramatic.
Tadaaa! And the Hero of my wardrobe (the chunky pink jewellery) saved me again. I guess, this piece of jewellery has been incorporated and accompanied with every single piece of clothing I have.

Hope you guys enjoyed the post as much as I enjoyed wearing it.

Diwaleeee = Happiness!

Happy Diwali Guys. Hope everyone had an awesome Diwali.
This Diwali was extremely special for me. I celebrated Diwali after 7 Years with my entire Family. Being away from home throughout my life, I have never been able to meet all the members of my family together.
But this year, we made it happen.

Thus, the festival of lights definitely lightened my home and bought happiness.

WITH MY SIBLINGS. TOGETHERNESS

Hope you all had a wonderful Diwali too.

The story:
I will be travelling to Rajasthan next week (overly excited) for some religious activities with family, and then leisure trip to Jaipur with cousins.

Have a great week ahead guys!
