Date Night.

So the most awaited, most exciting and one of the best vacation gets over with this post. Day 3, when there was a little drama in the air. The day went quiet well, loitering around places and exploring things. Coming to the end of the day we knew what would make the last part of the trip memorable,  Schezwan court located in The Oberoi Bangalore. Heavenly place for the Chinese lovers, I feel blessed that I am associated with place not as a customer but as part of the team. While we got dressed for the perfect date and the perfect place, the unfortunate knocked us. We just couldn't go of some random reason. Major disappointment.

While I got dressed: The stripe dress picked from Forever New is gorgeous! Felt in love of it's sheerness and bold stripes. The color combination is perfect for the weather, easy to carry and looks perfect for a Sunday fun brunch and even for a Formal dinner. Being stripes one of the Hero of the season, here's me flaunting in them!

Dress: Forever new
Clutch: Gifted
Necklace: Forever New
Shoes: Thrifted

Because, the night couldn't have been left with this sour experience of not being able to visit Schezwan Court, we decided to go to Olive Beach located in Ashoknagar Bangalore serving Mediterranean and European Cuisine. Nothing of course could have replaced the excitement of going to Schezwan Court , but trust me this place called Olive Beach definitely turned me into a happy person again. We decided to take a table outside, what a majestic ambiance I must say. Those huge blue gate welcoming us, florescent pretty light from the candles, white pebble pathway and those small pools definitely makes the place a beauty. A place perfect for those romantic dinners, for a date and a place that was beyond perfect for that particular evening:)

If ever I had to rate this place I would give it a Pure 10 for it's ambiance, coming to the pricing part it's little heavy on your pocket. I guess it's worth the place. On the other hand, Food is good, really good but we do have better places in Bangalore serving some amazing and toothsome flavors at this price or even lower. Well, my personal experience says I would not visit this place if it's only for food. But, would definitely want to go for it's ambiance, much relaxed atmosphere and it's beauty.
While we entered the place, we were served with some great breads and dips.

Coming to my drink, I loved something called Grey Goose Watermelon Martini. And, Oh it was beautiful. Perfect blend of vodka and watermelon. Man, it was quiet heavy;)
Absolutely loved how they had put the pieces of fresh watermelon into the drink making it more fun!

For the starters, we were thrilled and excited to try Olive's Signature called Nine. Consisted of nine yummylicious Mediterranean dips with assorted crackers! Salasa, hummus, and guacamole being my favorite. Just couldn't get enough of those dips!
Yes, that huge boat is what we were served. Looks great, doesn't it?

Coming to the main course, I ordered Chicken Tagine which was good but expected it to be more moist and flavorful. While he ordered Almond Crusted King Fish served with mash potato. Fish was delicate and cooked gently, apart the almond crust did not go well with the sauce and the fish.

And the best part of meal was Home baked Cheese cake:) with compote of wild berries. Needless to say, how heavenly and scrumptious it was. With both silkiness and characteristic texture, it was dense, smooth and delicate. It was beautiful.

A few pictures of me. Not that, there aren't any in the post ;)

So, with this the 3 days of immense fun and laughter came to an end. I recon I am still living on the memories of those golden days! Hope, these days to be back soon!
Oh! Those days are already here, Yes parents along with siblings coming to visit me in another 10 days. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Have a lovely weekend guys!!!

Re - Lived the Past!

Before the post, some exciting news: You can also follow Pen Twister now in  Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in name of (@Nikitagarwal) :). Also warning: The following post is going to be a bit long :) I hope you still read it!

It's 2 months now that I have been in Bangalore and honestly I am still helping myself to settle in this city. For various reasons of course, but I guess I will hold on to it. Since a few days I have been missing city of Joy -  "Kolkata" quiet a bit. The city where I learned the most, met the most amazing people who are still connected to my heart, where I discovered a new side of me and lived most of my days being happy. Even after stay and time of being in this city was over for me, I continued to travel to kolkata every month of some random reason. I have my strings attached to this place emotionally and recon shall never get enough of it. I miss every bit of the city! I think Kolkata loves me equally, no wonder it had send out packages to me with my most desired things from the city:) Also coming to the much bigger news, loved ones from Kolkata flew to Bangalore too to see me. Happy much!
The weekend then had to be in my favor with lots of love, laughter, shopping, conversations and Food. Apart all the usual stuff I must tell you, exploring places for food and reviewing it was probably the major criteria of loved ones to visit Bangalore. Nevertheless, it was "The" most amazing weekend ever.
I am extremely glad about the fact that, the following days witnessed amazing weather with some showering and pleasant breeze. Seems, like the sun had disappear just to make my days even better:) While I was the tourist guide for the season Nando's located in Church street was no.1 on my list. The reason being while we were in U.K, Nando's was our home. The love for Peri Peri chicken can never be transformed or decrease for us hence, while I spotted it here in Bangalore we had to visit.
Coming to what I wore was very casual, comfortable, chic nothing flashy and perfect for the weather. Florals have been a great hit this season and I personally love every pattern of it. And, who would not like when florals also have a hint of net border and embellishments. I do. I was in love with the sheer shirt shown below, when I first saw them from a distance and grabbed it that very moment without a thought. And, I don't regret a bit about it.
What do you guys think?
Well this post and a few coming ones would be flooded with pictures because, he loves food and I like to
pose ;)

 I am wearing:
Floral Shirt & Bag : Thrifted
Jeans: New Look
Accessories : Here & There
Doesn't the food look  ymmylicious:) I am all set to go to Nando's again and make my weekend fun!
What are all you lovelies doing for the weekend?

The Valentine Week!

Last few days have been absolutely mad and full of entertainment. Well, I am back to my normal life after a vacation of 10 whole days and I am just not liking it. However, I and Mr. A never believed in Valentine's Day, the entire concept of showing that extra love or exchanging gifts on that one day was a little too much for us to handle. We asked that one question to each other every year on this occasion, why so much love and confession to it on this specific day. No offense but just strange. Anyways as most of you know that I was in Kolkata last week for medical stuff without the knowledge that it was "The Valentine" week, until my little cousin gave me a huge bar of chocolate and said Happy Chocolate day. I laughed and said chocolate day she replied, didn't you know it's the V week going on and aren't you here for the same reason. Woh! Hold on girl, It was just a co - incidence and actually thinking about it I was really excited (it's good to do things you never did) to spend the exclusive "V" week with him! So, the week obviously was not turned into romantic Dinners or Vacation but it definitely bought in lots of laughter, get together, and love with all the loved ones around.
As, the week drew to end and not so purposely on the "V Day" we came to Gangtok. The weather was really ill treating and did not allow me to take him around, so I and my friends ganged in for the actual fun. The warmth of Born fire with delicious Barbeque and house music made it the Best Valentine's ever! After all, its about spending time with people you love irrespective to who it is! Right!
Ok, I did not get dressed for the occasion due to ridiculously bad weather but there are loads of OOTD from the week! Have a look at the pictures from the Dinner at "AQUA" for now. A place I need to visit in kolkata!

I am wearing:

Dress- Mango
Shoes- Local Market
Bag - Gifted

So, what do you think of the dress for Pre- Valentine Dinner ;-) The dress gives me an absolute Victorian feeling with the best part of having a scarf  knot!
Do share your experiences too! And lots and lots of more posts to come, stay updated!

Locally Inspired!

With much sunshine and love I required, I am on a perfect holiday away from all the winter bites and lonliness. Surviving each day with the fear of loosing myself, I am glad that I got to do this trip at the right time. The weather, the companion and the schedule is perfect to hold on myself and get things back to track. Initially, the trip was organised for 2 days for health reasons but subsequebtly it has just extended to a week and further. I can't get any happy or excited, Oh well I am in the city of joy "Kolkata". So far the things are really smooth and I am having an absolute fun packed week with loved ones around, crazy itenary for the week, drive aways, an outbound road trip and lots of love, food, shopping and amzing moments.
Coming to the post today, it was much awaited and requested one from many of the readers and friends, the post on Local hauls. I personally buy and put my hands on the stuff from the Local market of Sikkim and totally love them, reading through my one of the post here you would know the reasons. I personally am very  inspired from my town not because it produces great segment of clothing or fashion but the place itself is a beauty covered with mountain capes, with tresure house for some streams and waterfalls, blessed with holiness of monastries, perfect destination for relaxation and of course serves with a variet of dining options.
For the shoot I am wearing the locally inspired colourful knit with black skinnies, the Bling shoes (details here) which was originally thrifted from same market as knit and bag:-) Few of the pictures are clicked in the capital Gangtok, may be the pictures do not do the justice in defining the beauty of the place but it's simply Gorgeous.

So what do you all think of my Thrifted outfit? As, one of my follower said before I may not get to take home the beauty supplied by International or National tagged brands but, I possess stuff which is quiet unique and have an advantage of not letting my style to blend with the crowd. I am quiet proud of all my belongings specailly the once which are locally bought:-)
What possession are you proud of guys? Do share and leave your feedback:-)
