ReKindling!

One whole month and not a single new buy. One of my Resolutions for 2014 is making some progress.
With the thought, I will be home from now for sometime. Winter Chills refuses to go, not like summers are 30 degrees. Throughout the year cardigans are must here, where as other cities do not need them after Februaray. Hence, piling up new clothes is a total waste. Agree? Unless, I am doing some fancy trips (Rolls eyes).

I am Re organising my wardrobe and giving my existing clothes a new dimension, twist and style. What is a Blogger without any ideas and experiments?

Here's the first one. The post is from my recent visit to Kolkata

High waist pants - Bought in 2010 from Zara. Haven't worn them for a long long time. The pants were a little loose when initially bought them. They fit me so well now.
Note - I have gained and I love it!

Tank top - The tank was also bought in 2010 from River Island.
This piece has done full vasuli of its price. I have worn this tank a more than 1000 times.
And the quality remains intact. Love them.

Vest - Bought in 2011 from Gangtok (local shop). The piece that has earned highest no of compliments. You make me look nicer, every-time I wear you.

Shoes - Recent Purchase (2013, December) from The Closet Label. One of my and many other's favourite online shops. The metallic look gives an edge to the outfit and are super comfortable. Because I cannot wear them in Gangtok (weather issues) they have become by travel companion.

Have a great week ahead guys!

Flovour-Y Paradise Part - 2

I am back:) As, I mentioned in the previous post here, that how I have been in love with Food and places in Bangalore here's another Luscious food post and yet another wonderful place I visited! Woh, I quiet like the fact that the blog is taking a new turn being past few posts on food, places and of course clothing too. So, on day 3 we decided to go to UB City located in Lavelle road Bangalore. The motive of the visit was to meet a friend, some shopping and to treat ourselves with some scrumptious Wine and Italian delicacy. And of course one says it right, you should just not plan. With the weather being perfectly brilliant, the boys decided for open seating throwing in some justifications. That made us land to City Bar there, located on the roof top with open seating, relaxed atmosphere, large screen television that sets the mood. I could actually relate City Bar to Polo Club located in The Oberoi Bangalore being the seating plan, the service pattern and it's laid back yet easy going atmosphere quiet similar. The crowd you see would be both native and expats, enjoying their drink over conversation, watching IPL on the big screen and lots of laughter. The service on other hand was a little slow, so I wonder what would weekends be like? Nevertheless, I enjoyed my afternoon accompanied by chilled beer, some toothsome food and the company. Coming to food section, I had some amazing experience. Completely in love with every preparation they served us, can't wait to go there again:)
A few pictures from the place and a bit of self indulgence ;)

Caesar's salad with Tandoori chicken.

Flafel and Hummus flat bread.
Garlic and Herb Mash potato.

Arabic spiced chicken, Lebanese bread with an olive oil and garlic dip.

Mug of chilled Beer, and the hazy me.

For the much relaxed afternoon, I wore this gorgeous top picked from Zara last summer with Denims from Gap and the blue symmetrical clutch, also carried here. This particular top is one of my favorites, of it's print, the gorgeous neck and how it pairs up with every possible piece of clothing from denims to shorts to trousers!!!
What do you think?
Anyways, doesn't the food look gorgeous. Believe me when I say, it was heavenly. The hummus and the mash was the best part. All, you lovely people residing in Bangalore must give the place a try.
Also they have power lunch on weekdays, quiet appealing deals they have.Do try:) It's worth!

Have a lovely weekend guys!!!

Sunshine Effect!

When things go finally the way you want, the perfect Job, Festive mood, joy of about to see your loved ones and lots of laughter. Suddenly the door is knocked, lazily I move down of my warm cozy bed and guess what? Who is it, oops sorry not who but what? Yes, Thundering chilly wind with a bit of rain and in course of time snow flakes. It's getting cold and colder everyday, the temperature is getting into minus slowly. I wonder what would coming months be like. Trench coats, calf boots woolen caps are all out and when I look into my wardrobe I want to wear all those bright summer clothes and walk down the garden. Mother Nature heard me. Yay:-) Sun smiled at me while I traveled to a city few hours away from my home. With the cool breeze passing by, I thoroughly enjoyed the warmth of the sun. Can't wait to go to siliguri tomorrow   (small city in West Bengal) and relax under the sun, though I am still shaking of this trip as have a Dental appointment. Anyways coming back as I mentioned walking down the garden was my fantasy at this point of year with bright clothes in, I did manage to wear one of them and not the garden of course but walked down the street, free without the bulkiness of heavy cardigans and coats:-)  I wore a floral dress from local boutique here with my belt from zara which is my savior most of the times, to compliment it I added the shoes from Charles and Keith and the perfect bag which was gifted by B.F.F. (Thankyou, the pictures are clicked keeping in mind, you asked me to pose wit the bag :-)).

Well, don't misunderstand me as I am complaining about the cold and the falling temperature, because I prefer winters more than summer. But there are times, when you are too bugged and exhausted of the same climate and then you need a pinch of sunshine. Also, why I like the wintery sun effect (I hope you got it, hahahahahah) is the joy of eating oranges :-) Sadly, its very cold today so no oranges but some hot coffee and warm atmosphere. Enjoy the weather guys, and don't forget to be warm!
